YORBA LINDA, CA: Richard Milhous Nixon (1913-1994), the 37th US President, took office in January 1969 and resigned August 9, 1974, prior to impeachment by the full House and the Senate trial that would have followed.
He died on April 22, 1994, in New York City and was buried on the grounds of the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, at the side of his First Lady, on April 27, 1994.
The Library and Museum trace his political and personal life from boyhood through his death and explore his legacy.
